We are now in week four of the Awesome Blogger awards – that’s right one more week of platform building prompts.
If you missed week 3, here it is.
February’s four weeks of blogging are almost over. Have you been an awesome blogger this month? If you have, give yourself a pat on the back – you deserve it.
February Topics
Here are one more week’s worth of topics linked to the date. Pick them up, run with them. Do what you will.
22nd of February
A little outside Thanet, on this day in 2006, at least six men stage Britain’s biggest robbery, stealing ÂŁ53m (about $92.5 million or €78 million) from a Securitas depot in Tonbridge, Kent.
This is also the birthday of actor and screenwriter, Nigel Planer.
23rd of February
This year, this day is International Stand Up to Bullying Day which is a special semi-annual event in which participants sign and wear a pink “pledge shirt” to take a visible, public stance against bullying. Say no to bullying.
24th of February
I’ve not found much for you to talk about this day but, in Thailand, it is National Artist Day. Writers are artists and art should be celebrated so I think this makes a great theme.
25th of February
On this day in 1836, Samuel Colt was granted a United States patent for the Colt revolver. Given the discussion on gun violence, this may be a timely topic.
26th of February
This day is National Wear Red Day in the UK. Wear Red day is a day when many people wear red to show their support for the awareness of heart disease.
27th of February
This day is Anosmia Awareness Day – a day to spread awareness about Anosmia the loss of the sense of smell. Given how underused this sense is by writers, what a great time to put the focus back on smell.
28th of February
This is the last day of the month (this year). It also marks the end of the Awesome blogger awards. I hope you have marked out at least one blogger for some praise and if not, this is your last chance to do so.
29th of February?
Ah, caught you napping. There is no 29th. Try to keep up, Double-Oh-Seven.
Let’s see what you make of that little lot, then.
